Why Does My MacBook Have No Picture When I Turn It On?

I turned on my MacBook Pro but it doesn't have a picture. Why isn't the screen working?

Answer:
Before doing anything else, make sure your brightness setting isn't turned all the way down. Hold the F2 key for a couple seconds and see if your computer brightens up. If it doesn't, please read the post "Why Won't My MacBook Pro Turn On?".
