What Is The RAM Capacity For A 2007 MacBook?

How much memory can go in a white 2007 MacBook?
- Asked by William B. October 27th, 2011

The MacBook2,1 (May) and MacBook 3,1 (November) were both released in 2007. Each has two memory slots that require 667MHz DDR2 PC2-5300 SDRAM, but the early model maxes out at 3GB while the later model can handle 6GB.

You should always make sure you buying for the correct model when making any upgrades. Use our MacBook memory section to see which model you have and all the approriate RAM upgrade steps involved.
