OS X Lion will retail for $29.99 when it is released on July 20, 2011. Snow Leopard retailed for an even $29.00, but Lion is proving to be a much bigger update. It will only be available via the Mac App Store, which has helped Apple keep the price down since no packaging or physical distribution is required.
