Question: How Do I Take Screenshots In OS X Without Border Shadows?

Is there a way to take screenshots without the shadow showing around it?

Answer:

Yes, this is an option in OS X Mavericks. Press Command + Shift + 4 and put your cursor over the window you want to capture. Then press Option + Space at the same time to save the selection.
