How Do I Take A Screenshot On My MacBook Pro?

How can I save a screenshot of my Mac? I have the MacBook Pro 13 inch.

Answer:

Taking a screenshot involves the same process whether you have a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, or another Mac model. Capturing the entire screen can be accomplished by holding Command + Shift + 3.

Screenshots are saved to the Desktop as PNG files with a filename in the format "Screen Shot YYYY-MM-DD at H.MM.SS XM".

If you only want to capture a portion of your screen push Command + Shift + 4. You can then highlight the area you want to capture and a screenshot will be saved.
