Answer:

Yes, launch the Terminal app from inside the OS X Applications folder and type in the following commands to show hidden files.

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder

To hide the files enter the following command in the Terminal.

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder
