If you have a unibody MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or MacBook you should not attempt to remove the battery yourself. This covers every MacBook Air model, every MacBook Pro after mid 2009, and every MacBook after late 2009.
Visit the Apple Store or an Authorized Apple Reseller to have your battery replaced.
