Question: How Do I Enable Parental Controls On A Mac?How do I limit the applications and websites my children can access on a MacBook Pro?
Asked by Christine K.
The first step is to create a second user account. Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups. Create a new account and select “Managed with Parental Controls”. After you finish setting up the account, double-check that “Enable parental controls” is checked for the account. Then click “Open Parental Controls” or go to the Parental Controls panel in System Preferences.
From there, you will have many options. You can enable a Simple Finder, which is great for young or new Mac users. You can limit access to specific applications or websites. You can also limit chat and email access and enable time limits for users.
