How Do I Do A Software Reinstall On My MacBook Air?

Question:

I'm thinking about buying a new MacBook Air but without a DVD drive it seems like it would be a huge hassle to reinstall software if something goes wrong. What are my options?

Answer:

The MacBook Air comes with a Software Reinstall Drive. The Software Reinstall Drive is basically a USB thumb drive that you can use to reinstall your system software.

If you lose the Software Reinstall Drive, you can always use a remote optical drive through Apple's Remote Disc option or buy an external MacBook Air SuperDrive.
