How Do I Adjust The Brightness Of My Screen In Mac OS X?

Question: How Do I Adjust The Brightness Of My Screen In Mac OS X?

My screen of my Mac is way too dark in low-light situations, how do I brighten it?

Asked by Pat C.

Answer:

The first option for adjusting screen brightness is to use the Display panel in System Preferences in Mac OS X. Most Macs will also let you adjust screen brightness by pushing the F1 or F2 keys.

You can also precisely adjust the brightness by holding Option and Shift while pushing the brightness keys. This will allow 64 different brightness options instead of the standard 16.
