Question: Does The iMac Have A Microphone?

I was going to use the iChat thing to talk to my husband, but I didn't know if I needed to buy a mic. Does iMac have a microphone in it? Or do I need to get one?

Answer:

Yes, the iMac has a microphone.

Though it’s hard to see, each iMac comes with an omnidirectional microphone, just as it comes with an iSight camera.

You can also plug an external microphone into the computer and use that instead.
