Can I Upgrade The RAM In The iMac 2012?
Question: Can I Upgrade The RAM In The iMac 2012?
Is it possible to upgrade the memory in the 2012 iMac on my own?Asked by Trudy B.
Answer:
The 2012 iMac comes in two sizes: 21.5 inch and 27 inch. The 21.5 inch models have memory that cannot be upgraded after purchasing the Mac. Any upgrades must be built-to-order. If you go to our iMac section you can learn about alternatives to the Apple Store for built-to-order models.
The 27 inch model has four RAM slots that are user-accessible, so you can upgrade those on your own.
