I want to use the Mac mini as a media server. Can I connect it directly to my HDTV?

Answer:

Yes! The Mac mini has both HDMI and Mini DisplayPort outputs. If your television does not have an HDMI input, you can use a Mini DisplayPort adapter to connect the Mac mini via VGA or use the HDMI to DVI adapter that is included with the Mac mini.
