Last year nearly one million iOS users took advantage of the Apple Sliced App Price Drops service to save millions on their App Store purchases. In the process, App Price Drops users learned that App Store prices are actually quite fluid. In fact, 35% of paid apps experienced a price change in 2012.
App Price Drops shows historical pricing and buying advice for each app. We often recommend setting a price alert if history suggests a lower price may be coming (33% of current paid apps were actually available for a lower price at some point in 2012). This year price alerts were fulfilled an average of 57 days after being set.
